Practitioners, organizations, and programs who are seeking to join ITMAA must be an established martial artist(s) maintaining at least 5 years of martial arts training/ experience and having a specialization, certification, or a license in respective fields of psychology/psychiatry, social work, medicine, chiropractor, or physical/occupational therapy.
Levels of Membership
Member at Large
$50 / per yearMember at Large Member may or may not hold a license or certification. Practitioners with Master’s degree or above are preferred (however, not required) and would like to support this organization.
- Maintain association with Therapeutic Martial Arts practitioners.
- Participate in forum discussions receiving information regarding local, national, and international activities.
Member
$100 / per yearAn individual or a group who provide a training as or in conjunction with therapeutic application to population with psychological, social, or physical needs.
- Maintain association with Therapeutic Martial Arts practitioners.
- Participate in forum discussions receiving information regarding local, national, and international activities.
- Receive discounts for trainings, presentations, and related activities.
Partner
$200 / per yearAn individual or a group who wishes to promote activities, programs, or training regionally or nationally using Martial Arts as a therapeutic approach.
- All of the member benefits.
- Promote programs, publications, trainings, and activities either through the website or in print.
- Sponsor programs, training, activities locally, nationally, or internationally that are sanctioned by the ITMAA (details and programing must be approved by the ITMAA).
Certified Practitioner
$200 / one year- Certification program: cost per program
- Two day level 1 program equivalent to 16 CE credits
- Two day level 2 program equivalent to 16 CE credits
- Four day complete program equivalent to 32 CE credits
Individual or a group who has undergone and graduated training provided or sponsored by the ITMAA.
- All of the partner benefits.
- Administer specific therapeutic program for which is designed by the ITMAA (or its therapeutic/practitioner team).
- One year of continuous support in program administration with periodic clinical forums/discussion/trainings.
- Creating a program or a center endorsed by ITMAA
- CE, CEU’s or ME credits in the respective clinical/medical fields.
